Grants for Arts Administrators

The Winnipeg Arts Council provides funding to support the development of professional arts administrators employed by not-for-profit Winnipeg arts organizations through the following grant program:

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT GRANT PROGRAM for Arts Administrators

The Winnipeg Arts Council recognizes that the continued growth and development of arts administrators is essential to the cultural health of the community.



The Professional Development Grant Program for Arts Administrators is designed to provide grants to arts administrators to support their professional development through: unique opportunities for study (beyond basic training) in a formal or informal setting; research in an art form or administrative practice; attendance at events where the work of the applicant is to be presented or where the applicant is an invited speaker or resource person; or travel that is a component of such activities.



Maximum Grant

Up to $1,500 (not to exceed 50% of allowable expenses)



Deadline

There is no set deadline for this grant program. Applications will be received throughout the year at least one month prior to the start of the proposed activity. Applications should be submitted at least two months in advance if the applicant wishes funds to be released prior to the proposed activity or departure date.

Notes regarding templates and digital file formats

A complete application is comprised of a number of parts, as detailed in the Program Guidelines. Some items have templates to ensure that you provide all of the required information. In an effort to maximize computer system compatibility, these templates are available in several different digital file formats - depending on the nature of the information required - that can be completed on your computer and printed. Alternately they can be printed off and filled in by hand. You may also submit your own documents that follow the templates, with the exception of the Budget (section 7) which must be completed on the templates provided.
