SEVA Launches Video contest, Her Sight Is Worth It. – Dec 15
Seva Canada is launching a video contest, Her Sight Is Worth It, as a part of its awareness campaign on Gender and Blindness issues for upcoming World Sight Day, Oct 8th. The contest closes on Dec 15th, 2009.
The contest is open to all Canadians, ages 13 and up, inviting them to create a 3 minute short on subject of Gender and Blindness.
Information on how to enter the contest is available at http://www.HerSight.ca
Teachers Lesson Guide is also available for download at http://www.HerSight.ca
Winning videos will be showcased at World Community Film Festival in 8 cities across Canada.
The top three videos will also win prizes such as MacBook computer, FlipCam, Seva gift packs, and more importantly, and Seva Canada will have sight restored to a girl and a woman in the name of the winning contestants.
Help us expose the facts: Of the 45 million blind, 2 out of 3 are girls and women.
That gives you 30 million reasons to enter this contest.
Sincerely,
Irma Arkus
