Status: Permanent, 37.5 hours per week ( Monday - Friday 9:00 am – 5:00 pm )
Salary Range: $38,000.00 - $42,000.00

Graffiti Art Programming Inc. is a not for profit youth serving agency that provides educational arts programming for children and youth. The agency has an annual operating budget of approximately $1 million. The Finance Manager is a member of the Management Team and is responsible for all financial duties, payroll and the preparation of all budgets and financial reports.
Qualifications
- Certified General Accountant or enrolled in a recognized Accounting Program leading to a professional designation or Business Administration Certificate/Degree
- Minimum of 3 years experience managing finances in a non-profit organization
- Experience working within Quick Books
- Strong communications skills (verbal and written)
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office: Excel, Access, Word and Outlook)
- Experience working with children, youth and families from diverse cultural backgrounds in a community based setting is an asset
- Experience working with a Board of Directors is an asset
Duties and Responsibilities
- Monitoring all financial activities and ensuring that the organization stays on budget
- Monitoring all receivables, including funding, grants, donations
- Preparing weekly cash and cheque deposits and issuing cheques
- Performing bank reconciliations and month-end adjustments
- Preparing the Annual Budget and program budgets in consultation with Program Coordinators and Executive Director
- Preparing and submitting financial reports to all funders as per funding agreements
- Assisting with grant applications
- Preparing financial reports requested by the Executive Director or Board of Directors
- Processing bi-weekly payroll
- Making monthly Group Insurance payments
- Preparing and submitting GAP’s Annual Return, Registered Charity Return, GST Reporting and all other relevant Canada Revenue Agency reports
- Preparing year-end working papers and coordinating with the Auditor for year-end audit requirements
- Various administrative duties as required
- Managing our Donor data base
